How to Calculate Cement Bags for 1 Cubic Meter

First, consider the mix ratio that you are going to use for the concrete mixture, refer to the below table for different mix ratios:

How to calculate Cement Bags In 1 Cubic Meter

Consider the required mix ratio, Here we have considered M20 mix 1:1.5:3

Some constant Values to know before cement quantity calculation

Density of cement = 1440 kg/m3

Weight of 1 bag of cement = 50kg

Dry Mix = 1.55

Cement Calculation

Volume of cement = (Cement part / cement +sand+aggregate)x Dry volume

Volume of cement

= (1/1+1.5+3)x1.55

=0.282 m3

Now multiply volume of cement with cement density

= 0.282 x 1440

= 406.08 kg

To convert kg into a number of bags dived the total weight of cement by weight of each bag

= 406.08/50

= 8.12 Bags

So for a nominal mix of 1:1.5:3, a total of 8.12(or 9) bags of cement Bags are required for 1 cubic meter.
